What is keyed alike? All keys are the same. All keys can open all padlocks in the set. Why keyed alike? Some employees will need to receive more than one safety padlock for lockout. These employees should be allocated ‘keyed alike’safety padlocks. This means they will only have to carry one key to open their safety padlocks.

What are the most popular keyed-alike sets sold today? Almost half of all Master Lock safety keyed-alike padlock orders (standard MTO process) are for set sizes of 3 or 6 padlocks. What key numbers do the keyed-alike sets come with? Each keyed-alike set comes with a random key number. Requesting specific key numbers is unavailable; this program is meant to quickly offer customers keyed-alike padlocks. Key numbers are cycled through thousands of key numbers, so receiving keyed-alike presets with the same key number is exceptionally unlikely.

• Create a set of keyed alike padlocks quickly from stock instead of made to order.
• Create any number of padlocks in the set you require, e.g. 7, 10, 13.
• Ensure each employees key number is different by selecting different key numbers from the drop down menu, e.g. Key number 1 for 1 employee, Key number 2 for the second employee and so on.
• Create your own set unique to your employees ensuring non-key duplication
• Each employee should have a unique key code that is their alone. Never allow multiple workers to share the same key code.
