Network Rail Certificate of Acceptance: PA05/01446The clip will hold a detonator in its jaws on the track where it will remain in place until removed or run over by a train.
It will withstand all, and remain usable and stable giving the detonator a longer life span. It is guaranteed to last for five years as given on the packet and it will give you approximately 75% savings on your detonator expenditure. The clip has been proven to stay in place on the rail head in conditions exceeding international standards EN50125.
It is common for staff laying detonators to have the lead straps fail during the laying, lifting and re-laying of a block. During the trial of Detaclip this scenario never arose as there was never a failure of our product. The same clips and detonators were used throughout the trial.
