Made from high carbon tool steel (SK-2) and sharper than most other snap-off blades in the world, these OLFA snap-off blades have a unique 30° angle. The idea behind the acute angle is to get the sharpest point of the blade onto the surface to be cut, when cutting from a typical height on a table.
During the manufacturing process, the following factors are perfected to ensure a good balance between sharpness and long life: Hardness, Sharpening Angles, Tapered Dimensions, Coarseness of whetstone, Speed of grinding .The blade is 0.38mm thick and has 7 snap segments.
