Safety. ESD. Lightweight. The RF125 Alder safety trainer features a highly breathable bio-based mesh upper which keeps your feet cool. Made with TENCEL Lyocell fibres, a highly sustainable yarn derived from wood pulp. It’s ESD compliant - the built-in technology works discreetly to dissipate static electricity, safeguarding electronic components in the workplace. This translates to a safer work environment and reduced risk of accidental damage to sensitive equipment. Lightweight design for effortless movement, including our anti-fatigue insole where comfort isn’t sacrificed, with the footbed having naturally high energy return and rebound properties. A truly pioneering advancement in the world of footwear outsoles, the innovative sole construction is a combination of some leading sustainable technologies. The midsole contains a BLOOM foam, an algae-derived, bio-based alternative to standard midsole materials, reducing our reliance on fossil fuel-based plastics. This is coupled with a rubber outsole, infused with the world’s first regenerative outsole material, Solum Bio-Tread. BLOOM foam contains algae, which is harvested to help clean polluted waterways where the algae grow excessively, restoring degraded water habitats and therefore improving biodiversity and ecosystem health. It makes for a cushioned midsole which absorbs impact for all-day comfort, whether you're navigating hard floors or rough outdoor terrain, reducing fatigue to the wearer. Solum’s Bio-Tread materials are made from the same biological nutrients that give trees and plants their strength and resiliency. As you move around, Solum’s BioTread slowly releases positive nutrients into the ecosystem, promoting healthy soils beneath your feet and beginning the cycle again. Here, we are aiming to balance reducing our environmental impact whilst maintaining our industry’s durability needs. Water repellent upper, lightweight fibreglass toecap and an exclusively crafted para-aramid anti-perforation protective midsole developed by Activ-Step Footwear Components helps protect your feet from falling hazards and underfoot injury. The EVA+Rubber outsole formulation provides incredible rebound and energy return properties along with durability and increased slip resistance. This lightweight and sporty safety trainer offers a balance between superior performance and eco-conscious material choices.

- Activ-Step Bio-Based Footbed: The Activ-Step bio-based footbed in this style, is partially crafted with BLOOM algae. During collection of the algae from water habitats, this technology cleans 16m3 of CO2 from the atmosphere and cleans & restores 15 litres of water to the environment, per shoe. Algae is the fastest growing plant on Earth - it can double its size in as little as 24 hours - making it one of Earth’s most renewable resources.
