Lithium-ion batteries in vapes and e-cigarettes present a growing fire risk, particularly when collected in volume. The Firechief FVB1 is purpose-built to safely manage this hazard, offering a fire-protected disposal solution with integrated automatic suppression.
Built-in fire protection you can rely on
Unlike standard plastic bins that can fuel and spread fires, the FVB1 features:
- High-grade British steel construction that will not burn, melt or produce burning projectiles
- Automatic fire suppression system using Pyroflow Active granules
- Suppression triggered automatically during a thermal event
- The mineral-based suppression agent is non-toxic and eco-friendly, helping contain and control incidents safely.
Proven fire containment performance
Testing outlined in the product sheet shows:
- No structural damage to the bin
- No burning projectiles ejected
- Fire contained and suppressed
- Controlled smoke and gas release
- In comparison, standard plastic bins were destroyed and allowed fires to burn freely for over 90 minutes.
